Shark week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Image
Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog. Today there is no specific animal. For shark week, I am writing about sharks in general. Sharks are wonderful creatures, but sadly they are extremely misunderstood. Sharks are very important creatures. Sharks are very important to the the ocean ecosystem. Humans are always saying sharks are horrible. This is not true!!!! Do not listen to movies like Jaws! They make sharks look aggressive towards people. Sharks do not want to go near humans. Horses alone kill more people than sharks every year. It's the same with cows. You think sharks are dangerous? Look at how much more dangerous humans are to sharks. Humans are making the shark population go down quickly. This is not good. We need to stop eating things like shark fin soup and save the sharks! We need to set more fishing laws so sharks do not end up in fishing nets! People keep throwing plastic into the ocean. This means that sharks are thinking that the plastic is food and eating it. Th

Written by a spider

Hello there! I am a spider. Before you freak out and try to swat me, don't! Us spiders are extremely important. Tell me. What do you hate more: spiders or mosquitoes? If you got rid of all the spiders in the world there would be so many mosquitoes ! If you got rid of us, you humans would become overrun by bugs. They would destroy all of your crops. This would mean people would have to start eating bugs! We help keep the bug population where it should be. We do not want to do any harm. If you leave spiders alone, we will leave you alone! I get it if you have arachnophobia, but even if you do that is no excuse for stomping on creatures that help you! Just be kind to us!!!!!!! Even cats hate us! So next time you see one of us get a piece of paper, let the spider crawl onto it and take us outside! I hope you learn to be kind to spiders (teach your cat too).

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! Today I want to set a goal for myself. I want to see if we can get up to thirty views. I will tell you if we hit it on the next blog post. Anyways , today we are doing a very slow creature(and it does not have slow in it's name like slow loris). It is a folivora!! These creatures are extremely cool.  Most commonly known as sloths, These creatures are so slow, plants grow on them. But before I say anything else about sloths, scroll down to the paragraph physical description. Physical description Oh no! the sloth algae is growing on the page!I just need to get rid of it!   Sorry about that. The sloth just shook all of the plants that were on it off and covered the text! Well it is fixed now. Sloths are grey. They also sometimes have a bit of green because plants grow on them. Imagine being so slow plants would grow on you!              Three toed sloths usually weigh a bit over eight pounds. Sloths are vertebrates. This means they hav

Hello everyone! welcome back to the blog! Sorry that I have not been posting much. But anyways I have a really cool animal planned for today. It is (drumroll) The slow loris!!!!! I will pretend you din't see that in the title. The slow loris is a very cute primate. Before I jump into the facts, I would like more people to chose animals they want on the blog. It may take a bit for your animal to come on to the blog, but I would like too hear your Ideas. Now like usual it is time for physical description! Physical description    Slow loris are primates (did I already say that?). But they are different then most primates. Slow loris is the only venomous primate discovered. It is sometimes dangerous. In some cases the poison can kill people. It is illegal to own a slow loris as a pet in most countries like the United states and Canada. The pygmy slow loris is brown with a bit of orange. It's eyes are brown and a bit of black. The pygmy slow loris weighs about 430 grams. pygm

Great horned owls

Hello! welcome back to the blog! Today you will learn about great horned owls. Recently I had the chance to see a great horned owl nest. This post is facts about great horned owls+extra stuff I learned while watching the nest.  Even though this post is a bit different, That does not mean that I won't tell you their scientific name.  Their scientific name is bubo virginianus (Are all scientific names long?). Before physical description I would like to thank Cheryl for taking me to see the nest and for taking some of the photos. Now it is time for physical description. Physical description Great horned owls are brown with yellow eyes. Great horned owls are vertebrates. This means they have backbones. Great horned owls weigh about 1.4 kilograms. For a human that is hardly anything. Great horned owls can be 3.3 to 4.8 feet long. They can be big but they are not the biggest owl! Eagle owls are bigger than their horned relatives. If you see an owl with horns it is not a demon!!!
